Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a system that uses micro-doses of natural substances to relieve many health conditions such as colds, allergies, coughs, flu symptoms, stress, and arthritis and muscle pain.

Homeopathy is the second most widely used system of medicine in the world. It has been used for more than 200 years and is used by millions of patients throughout the world. Homeopathic remedies are based on three principles: Like cures like, minimal dose (remedies are very dilute) and single remedy (only one remedy is taken for many symptoms).

Its popularity in the United States is due to many reasons; it is very effective, it is safe and has no interactions with other medications. When the correct remedy is taken, results can be rapid and permanent. It is so safe it is recommended for babies, nursing and pregnant women; it can be used without the concerns of dangerous side effects. You can take it with other medications and there are no interactions. Homeopathic remedies are based on natural ingredients. It works with your immune system; I like to compare it to allergy shots. Homeopathy will treat the cause not the symptoms of your illness.

In addition to symptoms of disease, homeopaths use an individual’s personal physical and psychological makeup in choosing the correct homeopathic remedy.

In the United States, homeopathic remedies are classified as drugs under the Food Drug and Cosmetic Act, and are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration since 1938. The FDA regulates manufacturing and other standards that are appropriate for homeopathic drugs, mainly through the Homeopathic Pharmacopeia of the United States as administered by the Homeopathic Pharmacopeia Convention of the United States. Many homeopathic drugs can be sold "over-the-counter".

Homeopathic medications are available in many forms such as eye drops, gels, creams, pills and liquids.
